I always enjoy browsing the guardian website but today I found something amazingly backward and now I’m going to tear it limb from limb.    It’s called ‘Lloyd Marcus’s tea party blog’, yesterdays post is entitled “the people have spoken, Obamacare must go”.   Let’s do this.

“The Democrats are lying. Signing Obamacare into law against our will and the constitution is tyranny”

OK Lloyd before you use sensationalist language like that I think you ought to take a trip to Zimbabwe or North Korea and explain to the locals why health insurance companies having to cover people is in anyway tyrannical.   If you lived in a tyranny you would not be allowed to vote against Obama or spew this bollocks on to the internet.   I find you comparing life in American (up among the highest standard of living in the world) to tyranny both ignorant and arrogant.

“and step one of their hideous goal of having as many Americans as possible dependent on government, thus controlling our lives and fulfilling Obama’s promise to fundamentally transform America.”

There was no public option you moron, Americans are still dependent on private health insurance companies who, before Obama could charge whatever the wanted. The greed and cruelty of a unregulated and privatised health care system killed more than twice as many people as 9/11 ever year.

“Could a white president have so successfully pulled off shredding the constitution to further his agenda? I think not.”

How about instead of just ‘thinking not’ you pulled your head out of your arse and looked around.  In October 2001 ‘the patriot act’ allowed the Bush administration to tap your phone, go through your post and read your emails and credit card statements.  60% of the Bill of Rights were sacrificed for the war on terror.   You lost the right to demand a search warrant, trial by jury and immunity from cruel and unusual punishment.   Please show me the part of the constitution that allows you to deny medical care to a child.

White America relished the opportunity to vote for a black man, naïvely believing that they would never suffer the pain of being called racist again. Black Americans viewed casting their vote for Obama as the ultimate affirmative action for America’s sins of the past.”

Could be that, or it could be that the other republican government had started two unwinnable wars, neglected New Orleans and bowed out with the biggest economic crash of the 21st century.  Or it could be that Obama promised to stop them from being screwed over by greedy health insurance companies.   No actually you’re probably right, there were probably no political factors at all, they just wanted a black guy because they like Morgan Freeman and Samuel L Jackson.

“Recently, I have come to believe that perhaps I am wrong about Obama’s race not being an issue. In reality, Obama’s presidency has everything to do with racism – but not from the Tea Party movement. Progressives and Obama have exploited his race from the rookie senator’s virtually unchallenged presidential campaign to his unprecedented bullying of America into Obamacare. Obama’s race trumped all normal media scrutiny of him as a presidential candidate.”

Shit!  Now that I think about it I remember that in all those hundreds of interviews and all those hour long debates with John McCain were actually just him standing in front of a Dulux color chart.

“Obamacare forces all Americans to purchase healthcare, and this is clearly unconstitutional.”

Don’t bother quoting the constitution.  That would have taken a whole google search.  Instead we’ll just assume that its true because you wrote it.

“No white president could get away with boldly and arrogantly thwarting the will of the American people and ignoring laws.”

I don’t know if you noticed by George W Bush published his autobiography this week, there’s some fascinating stuff about he how he knowingly ignored international and US law by sanctioning the use of torture.

“So how can Obama get away with giving the American people the finger? The answer: he is black.”

No it’s probably because he has a mandate from the electorate.  See back in 2008 he won an election by promising to reform the health care system.

“The mainstream liberal media continue to portray all who oppose Obama in any way as racist. Despite a list of failed policies, overreaches in the economy, violations of the constitution and deliberate, destructive pieces of legislation too numerous to mention, many Americans are still fearful of criticizing our first black president. Incredible.”

Its “incredible because it’s not credible, its bollocks, oh and it’s handy that they’re “too numerous to mention”, does that mean you can get away without mentioning any?  In that case I’m going with the golden rule of bullshit, ‘what can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence’.

Obama didn’t do badly because Americans were against healthcare; they were dissatisfied because I didn’t go far enough.  The fact is (and you should look up the word ‘fact’ in the dictionary) that over 60% wanted the public option but Obama comprised and lost they’re support. If Americans didn’t want evil communist health care they would never have voted for Obama in the first place.  Suggesting that Americans only care about his race is not only unproven speculation but also both patronizing and demeaning to Americans.
