We have no money and David Cameron’s solution is massive cuts to public services to reduce the deficit as fast as possible. Some people have suggest that cutting so much so fast is an excuse for old fashioned Tory privatization. They are saying that Cameron is only decreasing the size of the government to increase the size of big business’s as they will happily step in to profit from the holes left by reduced pubic sector and benefit from the lack of regulation it provided.
Now that might just be a smear but if the government was only interested in the deficit then why would they have cut HM revenue & customs? Since cutting jobs at the service it has failed to deal with over 18.2 million income tax cases. Now a million people are facing a £1,500 bill for not paying enough tax due to a cock up at the HM revenue & customs.
That’s what happens when you cut jobs within an organization, it functions a lot worse. A depleted revenue & customs is only going to slow down our balancing of the books. Cutting jobs within the service is like selling the air in your tires to save your taxis firm.
Now ask yourself if a lame taxman would benefit big business in the UK?
